Designed for speed, the Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 delivers control and protection while showcasing a unique contrast of materials. It features a durable rubber outsole that’s inspired by trail running shoes, along with a moving mid-strap that provides a snug fit. The upper features sharp lines and a vibrant color palette. The forefoot of the midsole features a large-volume Zoom Air unit that provides maximum bounce.
The midsole also features an external heel counter that offers support and stability. The upper is constructed of semi-transparent materials and features a bold color palette. The shoes will also feature an innovative fit system that’s designed to provide a snug, supportive fit. The Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 is available now at Nike Store, StockX, and GOAT. Interested parties can also purchase the Jordan Why Not Zer0.4, which will be released on January 6, 2021 for $130. The Jordan Why Not Zer0.4 will also be available in a second colorway on January 14 for $110. It’s available at Nike Store, StockX, and Goat.
Wiggle room for the toe
Having wiggle room for your toe is important in a shoe, especially if you are wearing a tight sock. The Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 has just enough space to let your toe slide in. However, the sneaker does not provide a lot of impact protection for your foot. That means you can still compress the heel area even when you are crashing through the basket.
The sneaker’s foam-backed mesh build and multi-colored overlays give the sneaker a gaudy look. However, the forefoot structure makes the shoe feel good to wear. The shoe’s large and efficient Zoom unit in the forefoot helps deliver a decent amount of energy return. The outsole’s nubs are a nice touch, providing excellent grip on the court and preventing your foot from slipping. The shoe’s large midsole also helps you achieve a comfortable fit. The sneaker’s newest incarnation is a worthy upgrade.
Having played with the Jordan zer0.5 for more than a year now, I’m excited to share my experience and my thoughts about this performance basketball shoe. As you can see from my reviews and recommendations, I am a huge fan of the shoe’s Zoom Air unit, but I also think there are many other performance features that make it a great basketball shoe.
While I like the look of the shoe and its design, the traction performance is not that great. While the shoe has decent traction on clean courts, I’ve noticed that the treads are very close together. This means that the shoe does not grab the court very well. However, I have noticed that the traction performance has improved significantly over time.
